HOPE worldwide seeks a mature individual with a passion for helping the poor and needy for the challenging, exciting and immensely rewarding role of Country Director in Afghanistan. The candidate must have a proven track record in managing people, programs, large budgets and stakeholder relationships. They will need to be comfortable with working in a hazardous environment, yet not take unnecessary risks with their own safety or that of their colleagues. Cultural sensitivity and an ability to work within a Muslim environment will be essential.
The candidate will be excellent at communicating with staff, the HOPE worldwide Afghanistan board, funders and partners. Flexibility and creativity will be important for working in a developing world context.
